The Story

OXFORD UNIVERSITY 1860s.
Alice is a brilliant young woman determined to earn an education in a society that would rather see her remain silent.
Charles Dodgson is a gifted but stuttering mathematics professor who believes every problem should have a logical answer.
When Alice challenges whether women can attend his course, and the Dean barges in to demand Dodgson regain control of his classroom, Dodgson unhinges—and erupts with the most famous unsolved riddle in Lewis Carroll literature:
“Why is a raven like a writing desk?”
This impossible riddle fractures Dodgson's carefully ordered world! As imagination overwhelms certainty, he transforms into his most uninhibited alter ego—the eccentric and unpredictable Hatter.
With a boisterous and overbearing Dean threatening expulsion and professional ruin “by five o'clock”, Alice and the Hatter tumble through a spilled inkwell into Wonderland filled with absurd characters who are strangely familiar—and just as off-beat as their Oxford counterparts.
To solve the riddle and save the classroom, they steal the royal writing desk, battle the Queen of Hearts, find the mysterious raven, and discover whether logic and imagination are truly opposites—or whether each is incomplete without the other.

✓ Dual-role casting opportunities, with Oxford characters transforming into their Wonderland counterparts.
✓ Strong female protagonist.
✓ Themes of creativity, education, identity, and belonging.
✓ Flexible staging capabilities.
✓ Ensemble-driven storytelling.
